No, we don’t provide individual therapy services or evaluations. Skidamarink Kids offers educational resources, guidance, and tools to help you support your child’s development proactively. If your child needs professional evaluation or therapy, we recommend contacting your pediatrician for a referral to local therapists.
Not at all! While we help families address struggles, our biggest passion is helping parents build strong foundations from the start. Whether your child is thriving or facing challenges, our brain-based approach helps prevent delays and supports healthy development from day one.
Our resources cover birth through early grade school (approximately ages 0 to 7). We focus on the critical early years when brain development is most rapid and when proactive support makes the biggest difference.
However, children with moderate to severe developmental challenges may benefit from our resources through adulthood, depending on their level of function. Many of our brain-based strategies for self-regulation, sensory processing, and daily routines can be adapted for older children and adults with special needs.
We focus on neurological foundations like primitive reflexes, brain balance, and sensory integration that most resources overlook. Rather than just managing behavior, we teach you why struggles happen and how to address root causes. We combine brain science with trauma-informed care, positive discipline, and our experience as both therapists and moms who’ve been in the trenches.
We integrate our Christian faith into our approach and believe God designed families to thrive. However, we welcome families of all backgrounds because we believe ALL people are created in the image of God and have immense value. Further, we believe God hand-picked you to care for your child. Our strategies are grounded in research and effective for everyone, regardless of faith.
